Luis Suarez steals the show with a hat trick against Real Madrid as Lionel Messi sat this one out on Injury

Real Madrid endured a very difficult day as Barcelona ran riot against their arch rivals when they faced in Camp nou on Sunday.

Barcelona and Real Madrid went into this fixture without Lionel Messi who was out on injury and Madrid without Cristiano Ronaldo who left for Juventus in the a big money summer move.

However, the fixture was all Barcelona from start to finish as the Catalans ran riot in a fixture which ended 5-1 to Barca’s advantage.

Philippe Coutinho opened the scoring for Barcelona from close range before Luis Suarez took over the driving wheel and scored a hat trick with only a single Marcelo goal coming inbetween his first and the rest. Substitute Arturo Vidal completed the riot as they made it five for the day.

It could have been worse for the white outfits but were lucky to see Ousmane Dembele and Luis Suarez miss two glorious chances amongst others.

Lionel Messi sitting this one out didn’t seem to be much of a problem for the Catalans as Luis Suarez made sure they didn’t miss the football maestro as he stunned the La Liga with a hat trick.

Ten matches counting and Madrid have continued to show they aren’t Real without Cristiano Ronaldo who coincidentally came to the rescue for Juventus in the weekend putting two to seal all three for the old ladies.

Real Madrid are simply out of sorts, lost in midfield, shackled in attack and pale defence. With only 14 points from a possible 30 and sitting in ninth place with the season still in its infancy.
Julen Lopetegui is definitely in for a difficult season should he remain manager at the club beyond the next few hours.
