“I’m not crazy” – Bernd Leno replies to lack of playing time at Arsenal

Arsenal signing Bernd Leno

Will Arsenal signing Bernd Leno ever get the No 1 spot under Unai Emery ?

Arsenal signed the 26 year old Bayer Leverkusen star in the summer transfer for £20 million and has since gone to keep the goalkeeper on the bench with Peter cech maintaining his place as No 1 at the club under Unai Emery’s rule.

Unai Emery doesn’t seem to be ready to give the goal keeper his chance to claim top spot anytime soon with the manager insisting Peter Cech is still in great shape and Leno can wait.

“He can wait for his moment. Peter cech is doing very good, he has experience of defending our goal” the manager said.

Bernd Leno on his side isn’t given up hope yet as the 26 year old goal keeper believes his time will. come eventually at the club and does not believe he has made the wrong choice in moving from Bayer Leverkusen to the Emirates.

“I’m not crazy, it may take a few weeks or months but my time here will come.”

How long it takes however depends on Unai Emery, but at the moment it seems it might be a very long time with the manager keeping his trust in Peter cech despite splashing £20million for the new signing at the summer.
