Juventus complete a come back to win against Napoli with Cristiano Ronaldo all out involved against Ancelotti’s Napoli
Despite not getting on the score sheet, Cristiano Ronaldo was the only reason Juventus failed to fall to their first defeat of the season in the serie A when they came toe to toe with Carlo Ancelotti’s Napoli.
Napoli were off to a flying start as they pounced on a defensive error from Leonardo Bonucci to round off the keeper for a goal in the 10th minute by D. Mertens.
Juventus however didn’t stay down for too long though as Cristiano Ronaldo freed himself with a brilliant move and perfectly found Mario Manzukic with a cross for the equalizer.
The Portuguese man came close once more with a free kick which required a wonderful save from Ospina to keep it out. Cristiano’s next attempt was however tucked in from close range by Mario Manzukic after it rattled off the post.
It went from bad to worse for Napoli as they were reduced to ten men after defender M. Rui was judged to have fouled Paulo Dybala who let out a loud shrill. The full back received a second yellow and the marching orders as Napoli kept on pushing for an equalizer.
Juventus However made it three and beyond reach in the 76th minute. Cristiano Ronaldo once again in the mix as the Portuguese header was slid in by Leonardo Bonucci for a third and killer punch on Napoli.
The win now sees Juventus take upper hand in the serie A as the champions now lead the table on 21 points. Six more than Napoli in second and eight more than Sassuolo who are yet to play their seventh serie A game of the season. Who can stop the dominant force of juventus in the serie A this season ?
