Nimes 2-4 Psg : Kylian Mbappe sees red in the finals minutes of an epic second half against Nimes
Paris saint Germain maintained their perfect start to the season as they saw off opponents ‘Nimes’ despite a nervy second half which saw young star Kylian Mbappe pick up red in the last minutes.
The young star appeared to be quite angry at the fouls been committed by the opponents and had to calmed me down by Neymar Jr before eventually seeing red in the final minutes for shoving Nimes’ midfielder Teji Savanier.
The French giants were comfortably two up at the end of the first half after goals from Neymar and Anger Di Maria in the 36th and 40th minute set the reigning champions on their way to victory.
An easy ride soon became turbulent as Psg conceded two goals in 63rd and 71st minute to bring the game level. First a strike from Antonin Bobichon and then a penalty by Savanier ensured Nimes where still in the game, at least for as long as they could last. The young French Forward ‘ Kylian Mbappe’ restored the lead for the French champions in the 77th minute and was pivotal to another which was eventually scored by Edison Cavani in the 90th minute.
A poor tackle from Savanier just moments before the final whistle was the last straw that broke the camel’s back as both players received the matching orders after Mbappe shoved the midfielder.
While the red card means Psg will be without the young prolific goal scorer in their coming matches, the French champions picked up valuable points which sees them remain top and yet to be defeated in the new season.
