The arrival of Cristiano ronaldo has left Higuain excited at the prospect of attacking football as the new season approaches
New boss Maurizio Sarri has identified the striker role as one which needs fixing with the club’s only available strikers been Olivier giroud and Alvaro morata. The latter is said to be keen on a move away from the London outfits with the blue slapping a £62m price tag on the striker. Oliver giroud however looks certain to stay but hasn’t caught much of the fancy of the new boss. Chelsea however have identified Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain as they ideal striker to fill the void.
The striker was reportedly set to link up with his old manager but seems to have been caught on the fence by recent changes going on at the club and feels the old lady is up to something he would most definitely love to be a part of.
Juventus CEO Beppe Marotta has however suggested Gonzalo Higuain can leave the club this summer but are yet to receive any official offer from neither chelsea or any other club. Marotta expressed the arrival of Cristiano has provided quality at the club but has also made some players surplus to requirements.
“Higuain? I feel that the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo has created an attack of good quality but also of quantity.
“We will evaluate Higuain’s future with those affected. Milan or Chelsea? No official offers have arrived.
Ac Milan are reportedly interested in chelsea’s Alvaro morata and may be willing to let chelsea have Gonzalo Higuain if the they could let the Spaniard make the switch to serie A this summer.
