With Luke Shaw out of Saturday’s selection for the match against Watford, would Ashley young take the place of his team-mate or would typical Mourinho throw 19-year-old Diogo Dalot into the chase.
Luke Shaw returned to United for further monitoring and treatment on Monday after suffered concussion through an accidental collision with Dani Carvajal early in the second half of England’s 2-1 defeat by Spain which knocked him out and had him carried off in stretchers and also needing an oxygen mask.
The left back has enjoyed an impressive start to the new season and has earned himself praises from all corners of the club and country but would not be available for selection during their weekend clash against Watford.
“All being well, he has a mandatory seven-day period that he has to serve with the concussion, but he should be back in the fold as soon as that’s done.” [ Gary Southgate ].
Diogo Dalot since arriving at Old Trafford has required treatment on a certain knee injury. But after playing for the under-23, he has finally declared himself fit and ready to feature where ever and when ever the manger wants.
“The injury was not too bad but it required some patience and I needed that”, Dalot said.
“Now I am here and I am ready to play whenever the coach thinks I am ready.”
While Luke Shaw’s injury definitely sees another English Man Ashley Young likely to take pole position on Saturday, it wouldn’t be anything less than a typical Mourinho to throw young 19-year-old Dalot into the chase.
