The transfer Deadline saga continues as clubs look to fill the void just days to the new season
The summer transfer is almost over with just a few days left, and while it hasn’t been all that boring, it still hasn’t been as exciting as always. The big clubs have been in and out with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal more busy than the rest. With the saga unfolding in the recent weeks, the deadline day is most certainly going to be busy.
Among the big names who may still make a move to or from the premier league are Eden hazard, Thibaut Courtois, Willian ,Marco Verratti, Toby alderweireld and host of them.
Manchester united and Chelsea are likely to be two of the top six clubs to unravel the market for new signings. united have been linked with so many to make you forget count, Wilfred zaha, Toby alderweireld, Willian, Ivan perisic, Gareth bale, Jerome Boateng and the list goes on and on and on.
The red devils are however looking most likely to complete a deal for Toby alderweireld, Harry Maguire or Jerome Boateng. A winger may yet be included if they succeed to sign any player.
Chelsea on the other hand are in a race with time. Belgian keeper has failed to surface in training in a bid to force a move to Real Madrid, Eden hazard and Willian remain liabilities with the transfer linking them with a move to Real madrid and Manchester united respectively. The London blues are in for replacements in the final days with Jack butland, Nabil fekir, jan Oblak and a few others been linked to the club should they lose any player before the window shuts.
The rest of the top six are lookin less likely to be involved in the late saga. Liverpool have made the better use of the window, bringing in Naby keita, xhordan shaqiri, Becker Allison and Fabinho and are all but set to kick off the new season in grand style. Manchester city secured the services of rihad Mahrez and while they are still linked with moves for Julian weigl and Marco verrati, that would be less than a worry for the manager. Arsenal on the other hand have been active in the window bringing in five new signings bar the new manager Unai Emery and look set to compete. Tottenham Hotspur have been non existent in the transfer window and look likely to remain that way till it shuts.
Burnley are said to be in for jose Hart however after Nick Pope underwent a surgery. Wilfred zaha seems like a man on a mission though as he has been linked with a move to multiple clubs. Chelsea, Manchester united and a host of others are said to be keen on signing the winger who has impressed over the years.
Everton are however reportedly closing in on a £35m deal for Manchester united target yeri Mina, while Newcastle are done with a deal for Salomon Rondon. Else where Watford are keen on a loan move for Pablo alcacer, while west ham are keen on completing a deal for Lucas Perez from arsenal.
The premier league is set to kick off on the 10th of August, which means clubs have until the 9th to complete any deal. It’s most likely going to be a rough ride as the saga continues to u fold.
Stay tuned !!
