With the signing of Belgian goal keeper Thibaut courtois for £31.5m, fans can’t help but wonder what would become of former no 1 Keylor Navas.
The move now leaves real Madrid with three great choices on goal, with Keylor Navas and kiko casilla previously at the club. While Courtois is most definitely a great move for club, it all but puts a doubt over the future of Keylor Navas who has been the no 1 at the Bernabau for some time now.
Following the signing of the Belgian no 1, rumours have had it clubs have become interested in the goal keeper who has been impressive for the club in the past few years. Arsenal are said to be interested in the costa rican but Navas seems dedicated to the club and is ready to fight for a place in julen lopetegui’s starting eleven.
While Courtois is no doubt an exciting signing. It would be unfair to say Keylor Navas hasn’t been astonishing in his few years as the clubs no 1. The goal keeper has been a commanding figure on goal and has been on hand to save the club on multiple occasions including the champions league in previous campaigns.
Julen would definitely have a tough job of keeping both goal keepers happy as the season unfolds and they look to challenge for yet another trophy.
